Death of George Aitchison's Wife Margaret
Above is the Death Certificate of Margaret Aitchison who died at the family home at 5 Princes Street St Pancras on the 3rd of May 1856. The burial was at the new St Pancras and Islington Cemetery which had recently opened in East Finchley. Copies of the cemetery burial register below show the entry for Margaret. She was buried on the 17th of May (two weeks after her death). The Undertaker was her son John Aitchison who ran a local funeral service in nearby Henry Street. Note he was quite busy as he also arranged another funeral the previous day.
