Evans & Family
Louisa Hollings married John Evans in Hereford in 1849. They had at
least five children which were all born in Lugwardine Herefordshire.
Louisa Mary Eleanor (b1851), John (b1859), Ernest(b1862),
Henry (b1865), and Percy Carter Evans (b1867).
By 1871 the family had moved to Biggleswade in Bedfordshire. John
Evans was employed as the local Relieving Officer for New Town, Biggleswade.
The 1881 census lists the family still in Biggleswade. Their son
Ernest is now working as a railway clerk, and their son Henry is
an an apprentice coach painter. John Evans died aged 58 in Biggleswade.
His wife Louisa remained living with her daughter Louisa and is
shown still in Bigglewade on the 1891 census. However, by 1901 Louisa
and her daughter had moved to lived with her son Percy Carter Evans
in Frien Barnet Middlesex. Percy had married Thirza Ann Bond in 1888
and had moved to 7 Lilly Villas Oakleigh Road Frien Barnet by 1891.
They had 2 children, Sidney Victor Evans (b 1891) and Alice Maud
Evans (b 1892).
Louisa Evans died aged 77 in 1901 at her son Percy's home in Frien
Barnet. Her daughter Louisa never married and also died at her brother
Percy's home aged 57 in 1908. Nothing else is known of the other
children of John and Louisa Evans or their offspring.
