.....Margaret Aitchison marries George Bradford at St Mary's Lambeth 1873

Margaret had been living with Henry Cole and family since they had lived in St Pancras. She moved with the Cole family to Shepherds Place Kennington in 1871 and it was from here that she met her future husband George Bradford. He had just become widowed following the death of his wife Lucy.
Margaret you remember was George and Margaret Aitchison daughter, Henry Cole was her brother in law through his marriage to her sister Jessie, and she was George Musgrove's aunt. At the time of her marriage she was 51.
The couple shortly moved to 1 Ingleborough Street Brixton. The area was completely redeveloped during the 1960's The map below left from 1946 shows the immediate area with Ingleborough Street running between Ingleton Street and Thornton Street. The map below right is a present day arial view. By comparing the two maps you can see that the original housing has been replaced by an open park. The photo at the bottom is of Thornton Street viewed from near its junction with Brixton Road. Ingleborough Street is the first turning on the right in the picture. This is included as a general representation of the houses in the area as no photographs of Ingleborough Street are known to exist.....................................................
