9th October Death of Sophia Harris - Shepherds Place Kennington
The above document shows Sophia's death certificate from 9th of October 1871 She died aged 45 of Apoplexy (brain haemorrhage) at 17 Shepherds Place Kennington Lane, Lambeth. This was just two days before the wedding of her daughter Emily to George Musgrove. Ironically her daughter Emily was to die at the same age 45 of Cirrhosis of the Liver 28 years later in the Rose and Crown Dunton Green. The Harris family soon moved from Shepherds Place but remained in the Lambeth area.
