......1864 Death George Aitchison
The death certificate of George Aichison grandfather of George Musgrove. He died of repeated apolectic fits for five or six weeks also gangrene of the back, rightleg and foot for three weeks. He was born in Kelso Scotland.
Present at his death was his son in law Henry Cole. Shown left is an 1864 directory listing which is the only record of George Aitchison being an Undertaker as well as a Cabinet Maker. The Mrs Aitchison listed is the widowed wife of George Aitchison's son John. He had died in 1863 and she now ran the business. Below is shown the burial book entry of St Pancras Cemetry. Note George Aithison was buried 18 days after he died. Also he was buried by his daughter in law.
