........1849 October The Birth and Death of George Aitchison
George and Ellen's next child George was born in October in 1849 but sadly died within three days of birth. Copies of the birth and death certificates are shown. The maps below dated 1792 and 1870 show Charles Street which ran between Stanhope Street and Hampstead Road. The Aitchisons lived at this time at number 7. Nothing remains of this Street due to redelopement in the 1970's.

The 1792 map identifies the actual house numbers in Charles Streeet, We have highlighted number 7. The 1870 map shows the exact same area 78 years later.
